Raw Organic Cacao Butter is a natural vegetable fat used in the food industry as an ingredient for making chocolate, ice creams and cooking (as a replacement for butter). It is also heavily used in the cosmetics industry as a base for body butters, moisturisers and hand creams.
The raw butter comes from select ground, unfermented or partially fermented, sun-dried organic cacao beans, which are then cold-pressed. Sun-drying preserves the antioxidants and mineral benefits of the beans.
The cocoa we use is sourced from sustainable co-operatives in production zones located in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest and the Amazon region. The ecosystem in these places has some of the greatest biodiversity on the planet.
Surrounded by native vegetation, the cacao crop integrates rather than disrupts the native ecosystem.
